Awww, it's such a cute widdle V8. I just want to pinch its valve covers. I like the miniature engines and all, but just as long as they serve a purpose, like the scale miniature Viper V10 that powers a pencil sharpener.
I stuck with it for an hour or so. It didn't seem to have a knack for learning facts. It seemed more interested in learning from your responses and presenting other responses it had gleaned. In turn you end up responding to questions other people have asked of it, and not really having much of a conversation.
It also depends on the age of your car and the design of the system. I have a vehicle from the early nineties which uses an infrared remote. There are only a small finite number of codes which were used in this system making it much more likely someone else out there will have the same code.
It also depends on what level of detail / realism you're striving to achieve. I'm a 3D modeler and I happen to love working for hours and hours tweaking verticies and adding the small details that really bring extra believability to the piece I'm working on. I'm not a huge fan of intricate and complicated U/V mapping though.
Oh, did you know that each year Pixar has a car show on the grounds? You can find photosets of past shows on Flickr.
It's also an Indian legend that this phenomenon is a predictor of imminent moisture falling from the sky.
Our local weatherman has kept statistics for a few years and it turns out to be true a majority of the time. He brings it up anytime there is a good sundog or moondog.
