Oh yeah, I remember quite clearly when Lincoln was elected in 1961. We all had those Lincoln/Hamlin bumper stickers on our cars. Good times.

Now you've just completed another piece of the puzzle for me Mitch. You're just making it easier and easier.

Step 1: Purchase a lightweight rear-wheel drive vehicle (AKA sports car in many countries)
Step 2: Drive said vehicle onto tank track contraption.
Step 3: Unbolt driveshaft and reattach to live axle on track configuration.
Step 4: Drive vehicle in new configuration.
Step 5: Try driving vehicle quickly in new configuration.
Step 6: Replace driveshaft u-joints sooner than normal because of excessive wear caused by increased driveshaft angle.

Man, the first one of these that I can identify immediately and it's already been pointed out. It's a one way valve. If it is truly small it might even be an early heart valve replacement. Otherwise it could have come from literally dozens of kinds of equipment.

Happy Birthday BSA!
If the scouting programs didn't support the values / ideals / whatchawannacallem it quite simply wouldn't be the Boy Scouts anymore.

A book I purchased at a thrift store last week had a envelope and letter from a missionary to his little sister hiding inside.
Other than that only some interesting bookmarks and filled library checkout cards.

The Chinese aren't the only ones that do this. There are actually thousands of post mortal marriages being performed in the US every day.

My personal favorite among all the MS Paint drawings? The map to their store, the one drawn with a mouse in Paint, in pink and purple with mouse written street names. Wow.

Goofy Americans with our predetermined notions that what is commonplace for us is commonplace the world over.
I still remember being caught quite off guard when I first moved to Brasil and was introduced to tetrapak and later milk in bags. I still want to find 1L baggies of drinkable strawberry yogurt here in the States to pour on my cereal.

Yeah, in your face Edison. That Tesla guy is finally getting the recognition he deserves. What do you have to say about that, huh?

I'm actually kinda surprised to find a mention of TotalAntivirus here. My grandparents just got that one about a week and a half ago. It's a good thing they called me to ask why their desktop was being hijacked by a legitimate sounding software. Based on my research it is a very nasty bugger to fight off.
The more people know about these things the better, but it also pays to be skeptical.

I had to recall the early Mac design language to interpret #3 correctly. I had actually read about the Pippin not that long ago. The Mac like design ones weren't too tough to spot, and I've actually handled an eMate, so that one wasn't very difficult for me. The one that got me was the Xerox mouse question. Pretty tricky that one.

I don't get it though. I mean, it's a neat experience eating there and all, but is this some sort of advertisement for them?
