Wow, so that's what I've been missing out on huh? A giant whale that punishes those who float in a specially delineated section of the troposphere then, huh?
Maybe someone will make a nice educational video like this to tell me how much I've missed out on by not having myspace, Facebook, LinkedIn, a blog of my own, EHarmony, etc... Until then I guess I'll just go on living a semblance of a life in the real world and occasionally distracting groups of neurons with the small online communities in which I take part.

Os edificios sao completamente differentes Tom Tamborda. The two collections bear only passing resemblance to one another. Nao tem placas de identificacao nem nada semelhante.

I'm a Datsun Z car nut myself and was hoping the photos showed the rims on that 240Z because the 1000 S30's that were shipped to Portugal had magnesium rims as standard equipment.

No doubt this collection will one day be unearthed again whenever the owner/interested parties decide.

I can honestly say that I was not expecting to see my favorite eighties/early nineties band featured on Neatorama. I think I attended one of their concerts in the womb even. Thanks for sharing the Gong show bit too, I haven't seen much of their Mystic Knights galavantings, just heard some of their performances from that time period.

Interesting technology, but there are better ideas out there.
I've personally test-driven a system that used roller skate like devices strapped to the feet and a stabilization/directional bar. As you walked, the roller skatey things on your feet sensed when your foot was on the ground and motors inside them moved your foot backward a pre determined distance. After only a minute of acclimatisation I was roaming freely in a virtual neighborhood, navigating turns and moving along at a pretty good speed.
My favorite idea so far though has to be the fixed platform whose surface is omnidirectional. Lots of sensors and reaction mechanisms for that design though.

I too have been a follower of DOTS and I love to see old cars still being driven and used even if it's on an occasional basis.
I'm almost half tempted to start a DOTS of my own in the little town I currently live in.

They must be incredibly advanced to invent a waterproof camera with electronics that are impervious to salt water. I knew they were clever, but not that they had developed a high-tech spy corps.

I should have read the article first. Like Lara said, he left the parking brake on, and claims he left the trans in 1st, but that would have killed the engine when he let his foot off the clutch. Sounds like his e-brake is improperly adjusted, or if it has rear drum brakes, then they are pretty worn and the self-adjusters haven't kept up with the wear.

I think you'd probably get used to it after a while. It would be especially helpful if you had a system to catalogue titles by colour. Old Man and the Sea? Yeah, it's in the mauve section.

Polx and Josh, it looks like it was probably a manual trans equipped little Ranger and he didn't set the E-brake, just left it in neutral.
The parking spot was on a slight grade, so the truck started rolling back on it's own with the help of gravity.
