From my personal experience, I've had about 6 IVs and 10 blood draws over the past 3 years. Of those, 4 of the IVs left me bruised for a week + from ruptured vessels and of the 10 blood draws, I got ruptured vessels and the lovely bruising 4 times.

I'd rather the machine do me up - I'm too confident in human error.
