All of his favorite books are from when he was in his late teens. This meshes well with my own experience. Some combination of 1) having not been exposed to so much as to be jaded 2) the first real chance you have of glimpsing the importance of things 3) everything seems profound because you're a dumb teenager.

There's still the opportunity cost of going to school for an additional six years instead of working, and on average people do not make that money back. If you're in it for the money, the PhD isn't worth it.

Woo! The people here are so misinformed. Yes, it is impossible to spot reduce by doing exercises. This article is about diet and not exercise, though. It is absolutely true that some diets/foods will cause specific sorts of fat deposits, though (such as belly fat).
