These tattoos are not temporary - due to shoddy technique, they will likely fade some but never completely disappear. I've seen a video of this mother where she claims that a new guitar-string needle was used with every child, but there is more to sterility than a clean needle - the tube (ink reservoir)should be new and sterile for each person. This is simply not possible with a homemade style tattoo machine. This is child abuse and sets the reputation of tattoo art back a number of years.

Ear piercing of infants and young children is not performed by reputable, ethical body modification artists.
