I'm with Medlir on this one—the fact that the show might have promoted this song, when in the past they referenced Thomas Pynchon and featured Sonic Youth as guest stars, is really disheartening.
my girlfriend was born in seoul and her parents left her with this belief to a T. lol, she brings up the possibility of fan death once in awhile on particularly hot nights. i love it.
this doesn't really look like saul bass's work; the illustrations are definitely a good approximation of the style at the time, but the motion graphic work itself is simple text movement and stuff. looks cool, but not really sold on the concept.
oh yeah and this specific design is so telling of the influences and inspirations of the design group as a whole; its both stylish and, i guess its just THEM, its really great. i want it bad.
With great designers like so_me and parra, it was pretty tricky to pick a particular shirt as my favorite. But from what I could see, the Element of Grime design by Its our Thing was the best.
A lot of designers these days are jumping back to the eighties with simple geometric patterns and design, as well as kitschy, cartoony illustration. This shirt takes both qualities, and adding an occultish, esoteric veneer makes the shirt absolutely awesome.
Not only a great shirt for its hip uniqueness, but its definitely one people might stop and ask you about.
lol for centuries
