I don't think the case should have been dismissed. I think the judge should have ruled in favor of the mother and had these moronic children pay her legal fees as well as a hefty amount for pain and suffering.
First off, let me say I'm completely opposed to the gestapo tactics we American's are forced to deal with when we fly. TSA is out of control and something needs to be done about to stop it.

@Ziggy: USA and yes where some people engage in those barbaric customs you mention. I had a schnauzer and when I got her, they'd already docked her poor tail, but I refused to have her ears clipped. I could not cause that kind of pain to an animal.
