Fines alone won't correct unethical behavior by companies unless they are HUGE. Otherwise the CEOs will just take fines into account when calculating profit and doing their dirty business. Any punishment will have to hit not only their bottom line, but their ability to do business. And, of course, any rules to guide businesses away from ill dealings must not have any loopholes.
The description of Asheville, NC failed to mention another good reason to visit that city: BEER! Asheville has a lot of great breweries, and reasonably-priced hotels that are in walking distance. If you are a beer connoisseur snob enthusiast, Asheville is a must - at least once a year.
Indeed - just planting trees won't prevent disastrous climate change. It's always good to plant trees, but a) you have to plant the right trees in the right location, and b) you have to plant them correctly so they will grow. Also, other measures are necessary: switching to renewable energy, curbing our population growth, eating less meat, etc.
Here in Atlanta there is a similar business called Videodrome. Clearly plenty of people prefer the old-fashioned way to find videos. Sometimes the new way of doing something isn't necessarily better.
