I love assembling IKEA products. Most of them are well thought out. the solutions are ingenious. Buying furnitures assembled at the store and shipped as assembled seems so stupid. It's like building an apartment around a microwave, cause buying a microwave and plugging it in would be too much trouble.

Very disturbing. Not in a good way. Bad influence on already disturbed people (like me perhaps). Not a net win for humanity.

Spamming and harassing ex-partners. That's adorable. And it's so lame, that this guy, when harmed by a vengeful ex, shared his feelings and asked for support from family members.

In finnish it's "kruuna vai klaava". The words don't mean anything in finnish. They are borrowed from swedish
"krona eller klave". Krona means crown. And there seems to be some disagreement about where the klave comes from. Wikipedia calls it hoof? but Nykysuomen etymologinen sanakirja claims, that it means pressing, so that klave would come from markings left by old timey coin production.

As there is no crown (or has been for hundreds of years) in coins used in Finland, and Klaava doesn't even mean anything, people don't necessarily know which side is which. But klaava is the side with the number.

Now imagine someone writing a book about her son who is disturbingly feminine, playing with dolls and preferring pink clothes (it's not exactly unheard of), and the she tries to subtly discourage this behaviour. Would she write a book about how Disney is making her son gay? And would that book have a favourable review in NYT?

Let girls be girls, or boys. Claiming, that girls like princess-clothes because they absord ideas about who they should be from Disney, is like claiming that gay sex causes homosexuality.

V.S. Naipaul in one of his books rumored, that white south american women we're proud of their mustaches and showed it. It was a sign of pure european heritage. Native american women have less facial hair.
