speaking of Rossetti- the Dormouse in Lewis Carol's Adventures in Wonderland was inspired by Rossetti's wombat.
the wombat didn't live long, more than likely because he let it eat off the dinner table, and do just about whatever it pleased. neat story though.

i assume that she missed the flight because she was searching for her husband, otherwise the article would read "she was livid to discover her husband already waiting on the plane."- which might not be the grounds for divorce that just ditching her is.
and the article doesn't say anywhere that their home is in the middle east- he just happened to leave her in Saudi Arabia during a layover- and then lied to her family and said she was still in Malaysia.
dick move, sir, dick move.

bettie page. i know she was an older lady, and had had health problems- but she was always young and golden in my mind.
and jim henson. holy crap. i was seven or so, and the labyrinth was my favourite movie. i sat in my bedroom window and really thought about death for the first time in my life.
weird experience, that.

i honestly think it was a mixture of things that ended them. they probably coexisted with some of us (as in cro-magnons anyway), and warred or were wiped out by other cro-magnons.
it wouldn't surprise me if they eventually did find neanderthal/cro-magnon hybrids, but i really have to wonder if we were close enough to produce viable offspring. they've found the bones of a child who looks like he could have been a mix of both- but with only one example, we can't really say for sure.
it would be kind of nice in a way to think that they blended with us, but so far they haven't found any evidence to support that.
since they look pretty close to us, i wonder if cro-magnon even knew they were a different species of people, or if they just thought they were a different band/tribe.
i wish one would show up frozen like all those mammoths in siberia so we could learn more about them. seems like there should be more than a few like that, right?

and dogs are supposed to be wolves that have large territories. sometimes life just doesn't work out the way nature intended. if he's got a good life, then it's not such a bad thing. i'm not saying everyone should go out and buy one...but responsible pet ownership isn't a bad thing.

oh jason- finally! where have you been!? i've been waiting for a guy *just.like.you* to come around so i can stop brushing my teeth, cutting my hair, shaving my legs, trimming my bush, washing my clothes- heck, even WEARING clothes- because this whole keeping up appearances simply to please a man has gotten really old.

really it doesn't matter if you like tattoos or not, it's more about making yourself happy. can't please everybody. it's only sad she felt like she had to lie and blame someone else for her mistake. at least she's 'fessed up.

CFME-
i don't recall anyone ever jumping up and down, pumping their fist in the air, asking for high-fives and saying that abortion was awesome and every woman should do it.
you're a complete idiot (if you are indeed not a troll) if you think that abortion is an easy choice- even for the so called "frivolous women" who "use them as their method of birth control".
and as for "having to pay for the rest of your life"- it's none of your business what an individual chooses or goes through in life. and since i'm pretty sure you're not psychic and will never know the best outcome for everyone- maybe you should be a little bit more compassionate. the fact is that everyone has difficult choices to make that may not fall in line with what you might do given the same situation- but most people do the best they can with what they have at the time.

i'm not seeing how blue jeans are any different, really, from dress pants. same weave most of the time, same fibers- just a different colour.
does he think billionaires have to parade about in dress pants, smoking jackets and silk cravats?
and to push the point a little further-
so denium is one of the staple fabrics of our time, so what?
everyone in ancient times wore pretty much the same style of dress, made from similar fibers- what's so wrong with wearing something popular, and relatively affordable?
so yeah, Sassafras- i agree.
get off my lawn, you stinkin' kids.
