....to replicate this?
are they talking people who happen to get rabies are treated with this method, or are they purposefully inducing rabies in animals and try to cure it?

i understand that it's sometimes a necessary evil, but if it's the last one...that sucks.

aww :(
i just saw an episode on the other day that i had first seen when i was little-like 4 years old little.

it was the one with the book about the spider that lived on a head of lettus and almost got washed down the drain.

i had always kind of hoped it would be around for my little ones to watch...like sesame street.

i have a hard time buying that. we've always had large dogs, and they were always awfully bright.

if you want a dumb dog, get an afghan. those things are so high strung it's impossible to train them sometimes.

my husband is from virginia beach- and though it has it's nice parts...the fact that it's smooshed right up against norfolk, newport news, and suffolk are enough to say 'no thanks'. chesapeake is right there, and fairly nice...but good lord there are a lot of people and not a lot of breathing room.

Betseflets-i really hate to point out that a good chunk of the blame for slavery, and the sad state of africa today goes to the Dutch. but i mean, who cares about the echos pain and suffering cause by a nation if they're on the ball with treating everyone alright now, huh?

oh look, now we're both posting opinions that have nothing to do with the story. woops.

the wood chips are bad because they can irritate the animal's skin, and they can also cause noxious fumes when they soak up water/urine etc.
wood chips, shavings and that sort of thing are typically a bad substrate for any cage animal.
sand or even newspaper are worlds better for the animal and for general clean up.

i love them both, but really they're two totally different movies-different takes on the same book.

and i don't care how many movies they make- tim burton and johnny depp are always awesome!

minus the eye and head injury (and the fact that he was kind of a dick after it) mr. gage was pretty dem fine..
