The disregard for the psychological anguish they put the kids & driver through and the obvious potential for this to be a mass murder (whether intentional or accidental), warrant them staying right where they are. Other than Newsom (the mayor), everybody involved in running SF (the board of supes, commission memembers, etc) are so massively incompetent that it's mind boggling.

This is just the damn schools getting upset that they won't get their government money for the kid for that day. That said, I agree with what Melissa said: no reason they shouldn't do this during an off-school time like the summer.
