LOL. You don't HAVE to get new glasses every year, dude. No one is stopping you from sticking with the same pair for ten years, whether or not that's a good idea is up to you.
Yeah, bad ownership is just dumping an animal on the street, or chaining it up outside and ignoring it for the rest of it's life. Responsible ownership is seeing that there is a conflict that can't be overcome and bringing the animal to a shelter that can properly care for it until it can be adopted out again.
Daaaaaang. Only the very hottest boys in high school had such rockin' pants. The rest of us were terribly jealous, even when we were joking that they could be used to house the homeless...
yeah, I try to be understanding about stuff getting lost in the mail, i have certainly had stuff I shipped that never got to it's purchaser. But it was entirely the seller's fault, he even admitted it (and then failed to send me back my money)
It's been nearly 15 years but I will never get over the $150 I spent on a gift for my ex that never arrived. And to top it off I broke up with the ex a month later.
It's laugh-worthy now, but growing up non-christian in the 80's my family was perpetually afraid that the kids would be taken away from them by over-zealous CPS agents tipped off by nosy neighbors.
Not terribly surprising, as the tunneling and constant traffic over the roots had weakened it so badly, but sad anyhow. I had several really charming hikes and walks in the area many years ago and remember all the fabulous trees. Thankfully, though we as a whole still don't know better than to do these things, the trees are now under the care of the park.
I have to wonder how often people even tell their cat it's a "good boy". Mine will respond favorably to their names, or to stupid little nick names I give them, but "good girl!" usually means "get in the carrier, it's time to go to the vet!"
