@Wordy-

I think so... My dad was born in 1932 and he and his sister have told me about having to take "fishy" (Cod liver oil) every day. They actually kind of liked it, though. But besides the lubricating features, I think the cod liver oil was also given to tykes to provide vitamins A @ D. The D was probably the main issue in a day when it wasn't added to milk. I'm not sure if castor oil or senna based elixirs offered any additional "benefits"....

Wow, lot of work into that and it looks like he has some skills. I wonder why pick a Countach though... It's such a Miami Vice gold-chainer mobile. The Muira had a lot more style.

That's pretty big for an Eastern Grey squirrel. Usually you need to go to the Fox Squirrels to get that much meat.

As an invasive species, I'd say the Eastern Greys are "ripe for picking" in the U.K.

I can almost hear an Austin Powers movie dubbed into "Zimbabwese" now:

DR. EVIL: I am demanding ransom of [dramatic pause] 100 Billion Billion dollars!

SCOTT: [Rolls eyes at such a trifling amount demanded by his father]

Mussolini's blackshirts (paramilitary thugs) used to forcefeed large quantities of castor oil to their enemies as a means of causing them a lot of intestinal distress, embarassment (from crapping themselves), and in some cases death from dehydration. The saying of the day was something along the lines of Mussolini's power being enforced by the "club and castor oil"

Yeah, the brake issue is a big one as are the tiny little trailer wheels -- they would have to rotate REALLY fast at highway speed & typically neither the bearings or tires last when you do that.

I read their downloadable pdf a bit more closely. The absolute key to the whole thing is that they specify a maximum tow speed of only 30 kph (18 mph)! At such a slow speed, the braking, handling, and crosswind performance characteristics become a lot less bothersome. But the vehicle itself also gets a whole lot less useful for towing. It seems this would only be suitable for towing stalled (but probably not seriously damaged) cars just off a very crowded (nearly inaccessible) highway. The advantage lies in being able to squirm through backed up traffic more easily than a regular towtruck. But on highways with passable shoulders (most in the US, not sure about worldwide) it wouldn't be much benefit I think.

My cats will love brushing themselves as well. I shudder at the amount of embedded fur that thing will hold.

@konshuss - My wife has explained this to me many times. You can't keep things cleaner by making them a darker color. They are still dirty.

Clarkson is incredibly entertaining, even though I frequently don't agree with his views. The man prefers Ferarris and hates Porsches, so that tells you what sort of person we are dealing with.

Too bad it doesn't bear French President Sarkozy's likeness:

That one is selling like hotcakes (crepes?) on amazon.fr

@jazz-

Figuring the cost to fill up is actually fairly easy if you are acquainted with the mathematical concept of multiplication.

Cost per fillup = 219 gallons x the fuel price per gallon.

Crazy, no?

How about that No Child Left Behind law?

Major bummer that it has a diesel engine but "carries 219 gallons of gas". What poor planning on their part for not equipping it with a diesel fuel tank. They aren't going to get far.

WHO doesn't like it??? It's quintessential seasonal Americana -- at least I think it is. Are these commonly available anywhere else? If not, and I was an American ex-pat somewhere, I'd need them flown in.
