Apple? Cool? Really? Most of the people I know hardly associate Apple with being "cool". They associate Apple with proprietary codecs, overpriced products, and sheep for customers. Hardly cool at all.
I'm with those who think this will be a fad in the near future. The way hip-hop culture glorifies thugs, you can bet kids in every section 8 ghetto are preparing themselves for this new look as I type this.
Her awful New York accent is almost worse than her music, and as bad as I think it is, I'm sad to say that it's still ten times better than the Pop garbage of today. Yuk!
Bad comparison Monster and Rockets. I belong to a lot of Metal forums, blogs and bit-torrent sites. There is an overwhelmingly large movement of Metalheads who think Ozzy sucks and would be willing to write an article about it. They make a good cast as well, considering the man hasn't put a decent album out since the mid-80's.
I'm with on the Black Hole part though. Sure, the two floating trash cans were stupid as hell, but I enjoyed the movie in the theater as a kid, built a model of the ship, and still enjoy from time to time now. All that, and I'm not even a nerd.
Wow! My knees hurt just watching the first segment. That is incredible timing and team work. I'm not big at all into that sort of thing, but that was very impressive. Entertaining as well.
With the Mentos and Soda trick, they fail to mention that it does have to be a diet cola, and not just any carbonated beverage. There's a chemical used in making diet flavored cola that is a catalyst in causing the reaction when mixed with mint flavored Mentos.
I have yet to read all the comments, so excuse if this has been said.
The health care argument fails in this case. To think we already aren't paying for it, is to fool yourself. Legal or not, when drug users need health care, they get it.
Then take into account the amount of money spent on the lost war on drugs. billions and billions every year flushed down the toilet. Enough to pay off any difference in health care, as well as pay for education and rehabilitation.
It's time to stop the madness. Prohibition has proved to be a failure, and has cost us way too many lives.
I never got into The Melvins, but did see them live back in the early 90's. They were very good as recall. I do remember being impressed, but they just weren't the kind of "thing" I was into at the time.
Interesting read. I would have never guessed the Kiss influence.
That mug shot is "classic". LOL
