Even though I liked the film, I still see plenty of issues regarding its plot and structure. However, through every viewing I've had in the years that I've gone back to watch the movie, the character of Broly has fascinated me in terms of what his conception says not only about his psychopathy, but even more so about his own relationship to the Saiyan race and their own incorporation of masculinity. Enjoy!
As a fan of this film, I've spoken about it extensively and how it is significant to the current realm of superhero films we are being flooded with. Like The Dark Knight, this film stands out as its own work that transcends the more common ideal of what a superhero film embodies, while at the same time very much deconstructing the very factors that could one day bring about the end of the superhero genre.
