There is nothing better than a perfectly made cherry pie, with sugar crystals on the top crust. Or pumpkin pie, with a little whipped cream. Maybe a cake with frosting.

You don't need this sort of thing. This is just pure excess. A good cook can please people with something simple. A mediocre cook is one that has to go to excess.
