Y'know, I heard of something like this for the Reversing Falls in Saint John, NB.
It was some tourist thing where you could go in a giant clear hamster ball and travel up the falls. I can't find any info on it, though, so maybe it isn't around anymore. I could have sworn I saw a site for it once...
I was going to mention this Purple Man that my family and I saw in York, and that my dad took a good picture of and then proceeded to come home and make The Purple Man the Blue Man or the Green Man or the Rainbow Man via Photoshop.
The Elliot Hall of Music is larger (and I'd imagine that there are larger theatres then both the Uptown and Radio out there). However, the difference is in the classification/original use between the theatres.
The Uptown and Radio were built as movie palaces, i.e. to show films in outrageously ornate buildings, whereas Elliot wasn't originally built for movies.
And if the Uptown was haunted...that would be awesome.
Y'know, beyond either side of Fboook making one more or less of a hermit, one can't deny that, when bored, commenting on people's status' with the most absurd remarks is actually rather entertaining.
There are people from high school that I'd never think about, call, or talk to again were it not for Facebook.
(It's also a good way for me to put together meetups for myself and my dear friends from high school, now in college, and let everyone know the details at once).
It's Jam Productions, who owns the Riviera, that's just bought it now. If only I had about 40 million...
I really hope this place is fixed up and opened for business at some point in the near future - at least next ten years or so. I'd love to work there in some capacity, even if it's just as an usher (which I do right now at the Chicago Theatre).
There's also a documentary from 2006 on the place called Uptown: Portrait of a Palace, if anyone is interested.
The lobster hasn't died in 120 years so far; I'd say he's done pretty well for himself.
I know other places do this sort of thing all the time.
I used to go to Deer Island in New Brunswick, Canada, with my parents for vacation all the time. There is a restaurant called the 45 Parallel Restaurant and Motel, and every year they put on display the largest lobster caught in the tank, name him Herman the ***, and then release him at the end of the season.

There just doesn't seem to be too many LOST obsessed people on the forum.

I think it's cute, but some of my friends think it's the scariest thing they've ever seen.
There's a picture of THE PURPLE MAN!

Happy New Year to you too!
