Unfortunately, SuperCrap, most bedbugs are now resistant to DDT - in fact studies done in Africa suggest DDT makes them more active.

You do have a point though, if DDT was used to properly eradicate them before it was banned we wouldn't be having this issue.

Further, I suspect that part of the reason for this influx is people being "green" and washing their bedding in cold water (with cold water detergents and high efficiency washers). Items with bedbugs on them need to be washed in very hot water. When everyone washed their bedding in hot water it likely killed off many infestations before people even knew there was one.

The Zeughaus Museum is pretty neat. When you are there it feels less like a museum and more like you stepped back in time and into their armoury. It's just row upon row of arms and armour laid out as if they could be attacked at any moment. Pretty neat stuff.

It's hard to believe that in a list of America's top ten generals you would neglect to mention Maj. General Robert T. Frederick, who Winston Churchill called "the greatest fighting general of all time" and said "if we had had a dozen more like him we would have smashed Hitler in 1942".

He was one of the youngest general officers ever and also one of the most decorated - which included receiving eight purple hearts for the wounds he took fighting alongside his men.
