But, gender equality shouldn't have double standards. What is your reaction to each of these statements?

a) "Don’t we already have male viagra in the form of power tools?"
b) "Don’t we already have female viagra in the form of jewelry?"

a) "Men are aroused by almost anything visually appealing to them"
b) "Women are aroused by almost anything visually appealing to them"

a) "Yes, my husband is a stupid, stupid man."
b) "Yes, my wife is a stupid, stupid woman."

Coupons sure would be great if they worked on all items in the store.. at every store. I wonder why stores haven't thought of that, yet? I mean, they *do* want us to save money, right? ;)

Interesting article. Here I thought the salt people were just dumping the salt willy-nilly. Hmm

Plowing is great and all; it must be cheaper and better for the environment. But it won't keep roads clear for long in a decent snowfall. I've never seen how pumice works, but it sounds like it could be a cheap alternative for places that have it in good supply.

How about using roundabouts or rotaries? For certain traffic flow rates, they can be quite efficient. Adds a little excitement to the drive as well. :)

Oh, I do so hate United. I made a promise to myself a couple years ago never to fly on that airline again.

It probably had something to do with the obnoxious stewardesses in faded uniforms barking commands at the passengers. Who pays money for that?

Urth is right, though I think misunderstood slightly. He's not saying something negative against American men OR women. The dating "game" is ridiculous here, for both sides. My guess is that Urth lives outside the US.

Bean, you are right in your explanation. I heard the story as it developed from someone who is in Georgia now. A lot of the aggressor's side of the story has been lies. For instance, Georgians are no more capable of "ethnic cleansing" than Americans are.

I'll be very happy indeed if this is the end of the conflict.

If someone wants to jam into a car with 12 other people, that's his/her own da-n choice. The fine and extended driving test are a well-deserved slap on the wrist. Did the occupants get fined too? They certainly weren't forced to ride along. And am I the only one who thinks there's something funny about overloading a station wagon that much?

What bugs me the most is that this addiction to safety (much like the fear of germs) is ruining the free world. Yep, you're free to do as you want... just make sure you buckle up, wear a helmet, kneepads, always go the speed limit, take all liquids out of your carry-on, do not tell any tasteless jokes, do not offend anyone, do not jaywalk, do not pass go, do not collect $200...

Also, ".. a REAL volvo driver" ?? ah hahaha.. you are defined by the car you drive, eh? A real Toyota driver wants to know.
