I'd think it would be too easy for a patient to jam small foreign objects into the key mechanism (from the outside) then barricade oneself, slowing down ingress for up to maybe an hour.

"Planting food, for example, turned out to be an excellent improvement over nibbling random berries"
I don't think it was, for thousands of years at least... A few years of bad weather/drought, and huge numbers of people died off. Clustering together in cities caused widespread deaths from diseases like cholera, and created ideal conditions for massive plagues that killed off many, many millions of people, too.

Pretty clear he wasn't D.B. Cooper. All witnesses said no. He had a good alibi for the day. etc.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._B._Cooper#Richard_McCoy_Jr.

One in Guam, three in the U.S. Virgin Islands, plus the Florida mini store makes 5 total:

Sears isn't far behind with just 11 locations, one of which is in Puerto Rico.

I've have had plenty of dogs suddenly appear in my yard. And once you have one, others show up.

I think it's meant as peer pressure... Many people advertising that they voted may encourage others to go and vote, too. Encouraging everyone to go out and vote is a very common refrain. I've never worn the sticker, myself.

"When the progenitor star is below about 20 M☉ – depending on the strength of the explosion and the amount of material that falls back – the degenerate remnant of a core collapse is a neutron star. Above this mass, the remnant collapses to form a black hole. The theoretical limiting mass for this type of core collapse scenario is about 40–50 M☉." -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_II_supernova

Why Joey Chestnut? He first won Nathan's in 2007.
However, the 58 kg (128 lb) Takeru Kobayashi won the contest the previous 6 years in a row before him.
And before that? In 2000, Kazutoyo Arai at just 100 lbs beat all challengers, starting the string of skinny champs.

It's tiny even for a golf cart, those can typically fit 4-5 people, albeit not comfortably, and still have some room for cargo, if not a full flatbed.
And it appears to be a death-trap... you're sitting ON the rear axle, pretty sure you'll roll it once you try on any hills. Without a substantial roll-bar, you'll be crushed underneath.

As long as there's still a driver required (which there is) it's not a self driving car at all. It's just driver assist, which cars have had for decades. We're further off from self driving cars than anyone wants to admit.

The answer to stubborn Phillips screws is impact drivers. Those quick, short impacts do a great job of loosening with much less tendency to cam than either drills or manual screwdrivers. Impacts offer other great features such as instant bit change and not twisting your arm when a bolt is stuck.

Can we nickname it the Freddy Kruger?
