I just watched Season 1, episode 2. Looking forward to the Tribbles.

I just watched episode 1 on Hulu. Still a trekkie after all these years.

I remember Potrzebie very well. I read Mad Magazine religiously for years. I had no idea it was based on a real word!

I had to separate infections, one caused by a kitten's tooth breaking the skin on my arm and the other, a dog's claw cut my arm. I cleaned them, and put on Neosporin, but the infections were so bad I had to go to the ER. The second time, an infectious disease specialist told me not to mess with antibiotics, just wash thoroughly and often with soap and hot water. No more infections!

My mother was a hypochondriac, and my father traveled a lot, so I was on my own most of the time. I rode all over on my bike when I was 9, and when we moved to Milwaukee a year later, I took city buses. I rowed all over a lake by myself when I was 8. I survived it all just fine. Of course, I didn't let my kids do those things, because I wanted them to know I cared about them. But I would probably be considered a lousy mother these days, because they did have more freedom than seems to be permissible nowadays.

We had a cat who could circumvent any cover we put on the fish tank. He kept pulling out the large goldfish, but the dog would bark to let us know in time to save the fish.

Doing the right thing by his employees has certainly rewarded him many times over. Look at the way his business is thriving! Happy employees are the best. Somehow I doubt that all the tycoons who take home millions will get the picture, though.

I argued with my daughters when they were young, telling them that if some manufacturer wanted to charge more for clothes with their names on them, they should be paying the people who wore them for advertising their product. These days, I do most of my shopping at Trader Joe's, and find their house brands to be excellent.

I'm a dog sitter, and I've had quite a few falls. Of course, I'm naturally inclined to run into things and trip over a grain of sand (what my dad used to say), but my worst fall out with a dog was strictly my fault, wearing flip flops on uneven pavement and not paying attention.

Very cool. It would be funto have one, but it will never replace a real dog or cat.

I could strangle the perpetrators of the plastic water bottles. The bottles are a huge waste of materials, the contents a totally unnecessary use of a valuable resource, and the empty bottles cause all kinds of environmental problems.

I love the idea, but I couldn't live with Trump's face in my house, even with animals scratching it or peeing on it.
