He put it on the wrong way. If he has dogs, cats, or small children, the paper should hang down the back side, otherwise the aforementioned critters will pull it off the roll.
Mr. Rogers is a big hero in Pittsburg. And at least part of the family is still there. When my grandson was in Middle School, the Principal was Mr. McFeely.
I cancelled my service after trying to negotiate a lower price, as I pretty much only watch the Daily Show. They flatly refused, so I cancelled. I was immediately innundated with at least three phone calls per day, not to mention numerous emails, and regular snail mails, all offering me a ridiculously low price. I told them to stop harrassing me, that the time to give me the lower price had long passed.
I used to live in Rancho Palos Verdes. Thankfully, our neighborhood didn't have any resident peafowl, but a group of them would occasionally visit. They are loud--and sound like a child in horrible pain. They're big birds, and the poop a lot, all over anything they happen to be roosting on.
I've read all the books, and watched the first episode on an HBO free weekend. I was even going to spring for HBO, but the first episode strayed too far from the book. I saved money, and kept the visual version of GoT I had created in my head.
We had an extension phone in 1965. Wall phones were not the only way to go then, either. Now in the 50s, we lived in rural Wisconsin, and everyone in the area was on a party line. Each home had its own ring. Ours was 2 short rings. The egg lady was one short and one long. She also was very nosy, and picked up to listen when other people got calls. If my dad had an important call, he would say, "Please hang up,Margaret. This is business." She never figured out that when she listened in, you could hear her clock, which she kept right by the phone. Everybody knew that, because we all bought eggs from her, andcould see the clock by the phone.
My oldest daughter's second husband was Mexican-American, and my middle daughter's husband was born in Mexico. All three kids have brown eyes, two have reddish brown hair, one has black hair, and his eyes are darkest brown. One has very white skin, one has medium white skin, and one has brown skin. They're all good-looking. One neighbor family has a Jewish, blue-eyed father, a half-black mom, and two of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen, one with blue eyes, the other with brown. That's the future!
