I was a little kid, and loved the movie. I thought Uncle Remus was really special, like a black friend of my parents, whose words of wisdom helped shape my world view. The songs were great, too.
My daughter adopted a feral kitten found under the hood of a friend's car. She took the kitten to the vet, and she was pronounced healthy. She's been a handful, and when my grandson brought home another cat, she got much worse. The solution my daughter found was cat pheromones. All of a sudden, the feral cat is fine, and friends with the new kitten.
Right on. And Cinco de Mayo is NOT Mexican Independence Day--September 16th is. Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French, who out-numbered them, and were much better equipped.
I still can't get over Disney-Pixar's making one of the scariest creatures in all children's literature--the Snow Queen or Ice Queen--into someone to love. That story scared the socks off me when I was a kid.
I beg to differ. I got rid of my satellite, and now have only Roku. The Daily Show is almost the only show I ever watch, but I never miss it. I will really miss Jon Stewart. I think he's a brilliant man, and I look forward to seeing what he tackles next.
