Downhill Through the Woods

(YouTube link)

There's a reason they say to stay on the trail when skiing downhill. French pro skier Candide Thovex and Aziz Benkrich bring us GoPro footage as they shuss through the woods and miss the trees. Mostly. Remember, these are professionals -do not try this at home. Watching this video may cause disorientation and vertigo. -via Daily Picks and Flicks

Full-size LEGO Car

(YouTube link)

Australian entrepreneur Steve Sammartino and Romanian teenager Raul Oaida teamed up to produce a full-size car made of LEGO bricks -and drive it down the street! The engines run on compressed air, which makes it silent (but deadly if it doesn't hold together).

- The engine is made from standard Lego pieces and runs on air!
- The engine has four orbital engines and a total of 256 pistons.
- More than 500,000 LEGO pieces.
- Top speed around 20-30km (We drive it slow as are scared of giant lego explosion)
- Built in Romania and shipped to a secret location in Melbourne.
- It's a Hot Rod design, mainly because hot rods are cool.

Before you say "shut up and take my money," you should probably stop and consider that you don't have that kind of money. -via Viral Viral Videos

Frisbee master Brodie Smith shows us a compilation of his trick shot Vines. He's amazing with a Frisbee, but you'd expect that. He's also pretty good with a basketball, football, and skateboard, too! Maybe it's the secret stuff he drinks. -via Daily Picks and Flicks

(YouTube link)

Dancer Gabriel Valenciano and his father, Filipino pop star Gary Valenciano, dance together in this high-energy acrobatic video of generational fusion. The music is "Separate Ways" by Journey. In case you're wondering (and I know you probably were): the son has the mustache. -via Daily Picks and Flicks

Extreme Seesaw

(YouTube link)

This video is labeled "David and Steph Teeterboard training," so I guess we can assume that Steph is short for Stephan or Stephen, although I don't know which athlete is which. I watched and kept expecting one of them to hit the ceiling. It would be so easy for something to go wrong here! Kids, don't try this at home, only in a gym after years of practice and proper training. And this is the first instance I've seen in which a portrait orientation on a phone video is altogether appropriate. -via Viral Viral Videos

OSU Marching Band Does the Gettysburg Address

(YouTube link)

At the last home game of the season Saturday, the Ohio State University marching band does a tribute to the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. They play songs of the Civil War era while making impossibly complicated formations and animated figures. The University Glee Club also makes an appearance. The actual show is not as long as the video would indicate, as they also have a recognition of the senior band members in their final show. -via Daily Picks and Flicks

World Record Tallest Domino Fall

(YouTube link)

An array of over 100,000 dominos was set up by the group Austrian Domino Art with help from HLUW Yspertal students (the fall took place at the school). Five months of preparation and four days of setup went into this stunt.

Last Thursday, for Guinness World Records Day, they were all pushed over. The world record was broken for the tallest domino structure, which was over 6 meters tall and consisted of 11,465 dominoes! The performance includes the "guy setting up dominos at the last second" trick, which always lends a little tension. That job takes nerves of steel. -via Viral Viral Videos

Wheelchair Freestylin'

(YouTube link)

The latest extreme sports video from Devin Supertramp features Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham, a "Professional Hardcore Sitter," as he calls it. Watch him tackle vertigo-inducing (for you) inclines and new stunts that sometimes end up in falls -all part of the job when you do this at the elite level.

Fotheringham was featured previously at Neatorama when he achieved the world's first double backflip in a wheelchair. That video might make you dizzy, too.

World Record Basketball Shot

(YouTube link)

Yesterday, a new world record for the longest basketball shot was broken by Harlem Globetrotters rookie Thunder Law. From up on the stands on the opposite end of the arena at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, he lobbed a basketball 109 feet, nine inches in front of representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records -and plenty of cameras. Three points! You have to wonder how many shots were tried before one connected. The stunt was part of the annual Guinness World Records Day, in which events are held in many locations. -via Daily Picks and Flicks

Cups Tap Dance

(YouTube link)

Broadway hoofers perform "The Cups Song," led by Christopher Rice of The Book of Mormon. It's an accomplishment when you learn how to perform the cup routine made famous by Lulu and the Lampshades and later featured in a movie, but try doing it with your feet -and then try doing it exactly the same as the the rest of the chorus line!

Or you could just put all that aside and enjoy the dance, the song, and the joy of the performers. The song is not nearly as long as the video indicates, but then you get to see each dancer show off a little in the credits.  -via Viral Viral Videos

Falling with Style

(YouTube link)

The latest video from Devin Supertramp follows a group of adventurers as they BASE jump from a tall bridge. But that's not enough! Next, they go up in a hot air balloon for even more insane stunts. THe POV shots may make you a little woozy, but stay with it.

You might notice the cars they get into are unnaturally clean for such an outing. That's product placement. -via Viral Viral Videos

Kayaking Down a Drainage Ditch

Kayaker Ben Marr took a trip down a drainage ditch, albeit a well-known sluice called Lions Bay Slide in British Columbia. I'm sure he was familiar with the route before filming this, but when seeing the POV version, I kept thinking about how suddenly a drainage ditch can turn into a culvert! Marr's entire ride is shown from a couple of different vantage points. He got up to 35 miles per hour! -via Daily Picks and Flicks
