Isn't scootering usually associated with little kids who can't skateboard yet? So wouldn't it be better to classify them as "infantile" rather than "girly"?

Skateboarding looks cool precisely for the same reasons why scooters don't.. It has "girly" stance (hands close to body and each other etc) whereas skateboarding still has a lot surfing and free movement in it.

I was expecting them to fall and bust open their heads (which I'm glad didn't happen in the clip). Some of those kids should really wear helmets.

Wow! - even more versatile than skateboards. Lighter weight, smaller wheel base, more control with a handle keeping the rider's feet attached to the board. It must feel like they're flying. I kept expecting one of them to start flapping their arms!
