Bentley the goldendoodle is a good boy. He always goes outside to pee. But I think he has some security issues about it. He always takes a toy with him. Or a towel, a blanket, or something that will give him a little comfort and courage. Maybe it's his "buddy system." Or maybe it's just a habit. Cats look comically cool in costumes yet have a hard time keeping their cool while dressed up, but some kitties actually seem to enjoy wearing costumes, like this adorable Scottish fold munchkin cat named "Dog".
Dog genuinely likes wearing the costumes his owner Lê Quoc Phong puts on him, and because of his mellow mood and snazzy outfits Dog is able to go to work with fish vendor Lê and help him bring in customers.
Even though he has an ironic name Dog is one cool cat, and according to Lê he's the kinda cat who gets around town:
Dog feels very cosy [in these costumes] and can walk normally. …Dog loves ice cream, traveling and sleeping. He also has a lot of girlfriends and a lot of children in the country.
Cats and dogs are often high on life, but that is nothing compared to being high on drugs. It's nice to be able to laugh at goofy pictures of cats and dogs, and also know that they are okay, and even under a doctor's supervision.
A young cat has discovered a miracle in winter time. He can walk on water! The ice-covered pond lets him get really close to those tempting, wriggly fishies!
The problem is, he got his sporting activites mixed up. He thought he was fishing, but he's really ice skating! He's about as good at it as I am. -via reddit
Pigs will eat practically any type of food you put in their trough, and even though vegans hate to hear this pigs will even eat pork, or any kind of meat for that matter, without hesitation or a second thought.
That's why pigs don't make very good shopping partners when you're heading to the grocery store, and if you don't hook them up with snacks the whole time they're in the store they will start to squeal.
But Priscilla and Poppleton aren't your average porcine shoppers, and when their human takes them to the store along with their two piggy partners and Pigtail the pug they stay on their best behavior- even though that food smells really good.
Priscilla, Poppleton and Pigtail do all kinds of stuff together, like riding around in a wagon and hanging out by the swimming pool, and the quartet plus one will even take a bath together when they start to smell a bit ripe.
Seeing snow fall for the first time generally blows a child's mind, and adults who have never seen flakes of snow fall from the sky are often quite tripped out by the experience as well.
However, no human can ever know how mind blowing it must be for a puppy to see snow fall for the first time, nor will we ever experience the pleasure of leaping into the air and snapping at snowflakes with our maws.
But watching this video of a 4-month-old English Springer Spaniel from Wales leaping around catching snowflakes in mid-air will give you some idea of how amazing snowfall seems to a tiny puppy's brain!
The premise is right in the title. This is an elaborate cat trap, situated so that the feline stars will be facing the camera. The first cat gets his choice of box, and the rest can select from the leftovers. I like the little glance the sixth cat gave to the camera as he was deciding to double up on the lower tier instead of jumping to the higher tier. The seventh cat, who should be named Groucho, will learn that snoozing means losing.
Chobi is a long-haired dachshund just trying to get through this water bottle maze his human left in the hallway. When he comes to a part he's not so sure about, there's a real problem backing up, because his body is too long to just turn around!
What's amazing is how this little doggo even tries to get through without toppling the bottles. My dog would just crash through without a thought, while Chobi honestly looks sad about the few he accidentally knocked over. Luckily, the next maze was easier.
Rescue dogs often have a hard time trusting humans after their harrowing experience, which makes their story that much sadder when shared with other dog lovers.
But Jasmine the Greyhound's story only started out sad, and once she was rescued from her garden shed prison cell she found a new home at a wildlife sanctuary.

When the snow conditions are just right, the classic way to build a snowman is to roll up a ball of snow, and then another, like the video game Katamari Damacy. YouTuber ImDranzR caught his border collie doing just that a couple of weeks ago.

Kuzma the Fennec fox and Zima the cat live together in Moscow. Kuzma is small, energetic, and has a little trouble with the slippery floor. Zima is relatively calm and placid, but he does enjoy playing with his fox friend. And in the end, he's bigger and will get his way! -via Tastefully Offensive
It's a wet day in Davao City, Philippines, and this elderly man is at the market with his dog. Before taking off on his bike, he lovingly tends to the pooch, to make sure he stays dry all through the ride. The dog would probably be okay with getting wet, but he allows himself to be pampered, because he loves his man, too. Besides, neither of them wants to smell a wet dog. -via reddit
In 1945, the American Feline Society bestowed the title of "King of All Cats" to a Persian cat belonging to Arthur Newman. Puffy had a peculiar talent for hypnotizing people, always for benign purposes, after which they felt relaxed and even relieved of headaches. By then, Puffy was credited with hypnotizing over 300 people. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer:
It was one night last fall that Puffy, then a kitten, first demonstrated his powers. "He was sitting on the end of a night club bar," Newman recalls, his voice becoming hushed, "and a couple of girls came up to pet him. I didn't pay much attention until one of the girls nudged me and whispered, "Look at my friend!'
"Well, sir, that girl was simply out on her feet. It wasn't from drinking, either. I'm something of a hypnotist myself and I quickly realized that she was in a real hypnotic trance, brought on by Puffy's staring into her eyes."
Newman, who had bought Puffy in a pet shop for purposes of demonstrating that people should relax like cats, immediately started training him to stare even more fixedly, with such success that Puffy now can stare Newman down any time.
No one these days is astonished that staring into a cat's eyes can bring relaxation, but Puffy was a sensation. Puffy was honored with articles in several newspapers of the time, and may have been the original therapy cat. Read more about Puffy at Strange Company.
Some pets that seem very similar, like parrots, cockatiels and parakeets, have vastly different lifespans- parrots can live 50 years or more, cockatiels live about half as long and parakeets live about 5-8 years.
So why do animals have such different lifespans? On a base level it has to do with environment and body size, with colder environments slowing down metabolic rates and heartbeats and thereby allow animals to live longer.
But if you dig deeper you'll find that an animal's lifespan is also affected by the mechanics of their cell division- animals that have cells that can divide and are replaced when damaged live longer.
This TED talk by Dr. João Pedro de Magalhães breaks down all the reasons why animals have such vastly different lifespans, explaining that similar animals age at different rates due to genetic differences, like how their cells respond to threats. So while parakeets don't live long enough to become teenagers cockatoos live long enough to join AARP!
