Clutch of Robin Eggs Hatch in Engine Compartment of a Moving Car

Dave Marchant of Henley, Somerset, UK drove his Toyota Land Cruiser about 250 miles, then checked the oil level. Under the hood he found six robin chicks. Their mother had departed, but her babies remained.
Marchant says that he won't drive the car until the robins have grown up and left the nest of their own will. It looks like they're already making progress in that task.

It does seem plausible that there might be a relation between the amount of drivers and the amount of miles driven. Either because people can take turns driving, or because they do not intent to travel together but take turns using the car.Bwi airport limo

If he only did 250 miles before finding them, they were already born when he set out. The mom was probably out getting food for them at the time. You can see the quills starting to sprout along the wings, so that means they're about 3-5 days old.
