Bonobo Builds a Fire
Watch a bonobo, a close relative of the chimpanzee, start a fire with a match. Once he builds the fire, he does the natural thing next -he toasts marshmallows! No, this behavior wasn’t observed in the wild; he was taught to do this. But you wouldn’t know how to start a fire and toast marshmallows if your parents hadn’t taught you how, either.
