One at a Time

I believe I countered thirteen dogs here. But these aren’t your average dogs. At mealtime, they sit patiently and wait for their name to be called before coming to eat dinner. That’s some kind of self-control for a hungry dog! They are completely obedient to their alpha, the woman who calls their names. An they are rewarded with a calm and hearty meal in their very own dish. That’s a good dog. -via Arbroath

Australian Shepherds are sooo smart. I have a mini Aussie. They love to 'herd' things. If they have no sheep then stuffed toy animals will do just fine. I'm not sure if it's a specific trait to Aussies but mine never begs for treats. The other dog - my red Russian Pom - is a yappy lil beggar dog but my Aussie is quiet and patient and always watches and observes what's going on. That lady's a lucky one to have that many good dogs.
