Manatee Wants Belly Rubs
In Florida, it's illegal to harass a manatee. But if one approaches you, that's another story! Jay Darden, an engineer with WBPF News in West Palm Springs, Florida, had such a wondrous encounter.
While snorkeling in the Crystal River near Tampa, an 8-foot manatee approached him. When Mr. Darden petted it, the manatee rolled over for a belly rub and hugged his leg.
