Basic Driving Lesson
This friendly reminder was erected by the Arlington County Police Department just outside Washington, D.C. The article frames it as an example of wasted tax dollars, but it is more likely that the people who program the sign, to warn of traffic jams and other hazards when they occur, just ran out of helpful default slogans. It's never a waste of money to remind people to actually do (or not do) what they are supposed to do in their vehicle. I think they should also post, "Turn signals are not optional," and "What? is 78 the new 55?."

Or it could just be hacked; there are plenty of examples. These signs are (usually?) programmed via a cellphone, and apparently many townships leave the passcode as the default, which can be found online.
