Piñata Cake

Victoria Hudgins made a piñata cake, a real cake filled with candy bars and jellybeans! The cake is baked first, and the candies are added to the cooled cake, so there's no danger of melting inside. See how she did it at A Subtle Revelry. This piñata should be cut and served; we don't want anyone whacking it with a stick! Link -via Laughing Squid

Love pool---billiards. Played a pretty good stick back in the day, a lot in college. I see the photo above is straight rail billiards. Nice game. I've seen guys play 3 cushion and even 5 cushion games, very hard. Easiest game is on those short bar tables playing 8 ball. 9 ball is THE money game.

Let us not forget too the very popular and classic episode of The Twilight Zone with Jack Klugman & Jonathan Winters (his character based on Minnesota Fats). One of my favorite episodes. ESPN used to show professionals having trick shot tournaments. Alwas fun to watch.

Great article, Eddie.

FYI - A serviceable billiards table, balls, and cue sticks can be made using materials you might find on a desert island - the hardest part was getting the colors right for the coconut balls - especially the 4, 8 and 12.
