TIME Magazine is set to release an issue featuring 22-Year-Old Oculus Rift inventor Palmer Luckey wearing his invention and striking a really strange pose on the cover.

The cover raised a lot of eyebrows on the interwebs, and amidst all the confusion and LOLing a perfect meme storm was brewing.

Some saw the image as a glimpse of our entertainment future, with Luckey demonstrating how we’ll soon be enjoying our movies.
