He doesn't say the "The last time Robin asked me..." he says "The last Robin asked me..." indicating he meant the person who was Robin before the current one.

Robins didn't last long. They either became Nightwing or died. So I think that Superman is referring to a previous person who wore the mask of Robin.

It bugs me that Superman wrote "The last time Robin asked me" instead of "The last time you asked me". Why would Superman be talking to Robin in the third person?
