Atari Landfill Has Been Excavated - Did They Find E.T.'s Corpse?

(Video Link)

Well, they done did it- the notorious Atari landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico has been excavated, and its contents have been shown to be- tons of Atari 2600 E.T. video game cartridges!

While it’s not surprising that it wound up being full of (arguably) the worst video game ever, it is surprising that Atari spent so much time and energy trying to convince the world that they weren’t crazy enough to dump thousands of cartridges in the middle of a landfill.

We’ve got your number now Atari, and that number is 1-800-PHONE-HOME. So what is the original game designer Howard Scott Warshaw going to do with all those cartridges? It appears another mystery is afoot!
