Geeky Garbage Pail Kid Paintings By Brent Engstrom

Garbage Pail Kids were the answer to those cheerful lil cherubs the Cabbage Patch Kids, but they were also cool works of geeky art in their own right, and most who collected GPK cards don't really appreciate the value of the art until later in life.

I'm guessing artist Brent Engstrom is one of those collectors who grew up and saw how unique the GPK art was, so he decided to try his hand at creating some of his own trashy characters.

Brent's creations look like they'd fit right in with the series, and yet the ones that couldn't have been made due to licensing (Voltron) are sure to rekindle some of that geek love lurking in the hearts of grown up '80s kids.

I just wanted to clarify... Brent Engstrom is a veteran Topps artist having worked for them since 2005. Garbage Pail Kids were re-introduced in 2000 and he has worked on ten different GPK sets since.
