The UK is going crazy for Daleks as the fiftieth anniversary of Doctor Who approaches. Snugbury's, an ice cream shop in Cheshire, did its part for the cause by commissioning this enormous straw bale sculpture:
The Dalek standing out in the Hurleston field is not likely to exterminate passers-by, but is sure to delight young and old as the Doctor Who series celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Hundreds of visitors have already flocked to marvel at the 35ft creation, which weighs in at little over six tonnes.
