Mending a Four-Year-Old's Broken Heart

I follow a craft blog called Lil Blue Boo, the name of which is inspired by the blogger's little girl, whom she calls Boo. This week, there was a little bit of heartache thrown in with the sewing tips - Boo's heart was broken when Ava, her very best friend at school, moved away.

While brushing her hair tonight I asked her if we should draw a picture of Ava so we could hang it up....the corners of her mouth turned down, tears formed, and she said "I can't remember exactly what she looks like."

Boo's mom found a letter Boo wrote to Ava that included an old picture of two girlfriends (pictured) accompanied by Boo's childish scrawl that said "I don't miss you."
