Give Her An Egg!

When I was 16 months old, I got the jelly jar out of the refrigerator and sat on the floor and ate it with my hands. That’s the extent of my food preparation experience as a toddler. This a lovely example of how children learn things when you don't think you're teaching them. At that age they're sponges and soak up everything they see - and clearly she's seen eggs being cracked into bowls before and knew exactly what to do.
It's lucky this works - imagine having to explicitely teach everything a person has to know - a lifetime wouldn't be long enough.
