Enhance Your Halloween Costume With Prosthetics
Facial appliances, or prosthetics as they're more commonly known, are a fun and (relatively) easy way to add a fantastically realistic detail to your Halloween costume, and they range from a subtle addition to a visually striking overhaul of your entire face.
Etsy seller Cottage Emporium has a wide selection of fantasy inspired facial appliances, from a witch's nose to big dwarfen ears, devil horns and half face covers that make you look like a monkey or big cat.
With some spirit gum, a splash of color and a bit of practice you can take your Halloween costume from ordinary to most extraordinary with a little help from a special effects prosthetic!
Update- a reader named nihil pointed out that a product called Ben Nye Prosthetic Adhesive works much better than spirit gum, so you may want to look into this product instead. Thanks nihil!

After the application I couldn't feel it and could even gently tug on my fake ears. I let a small child give one of them a tug to see if they were my "real" ears. She was quite wide-eyed when the ear tips behaved like real ears and stayed put. Her smiles and sense of astonishment really made my day.
They do make a remover for the adhesive as well, but as I recall I didn't have any issues getting the stuff off with just soap and water.
