The woman in the picture is as close to the real Maleficent as you can get- it's Eleanor Audley, the woman who provided the voice for both Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty and the evil Stepmother in Cinderella.
She enjoyed dressing up in costume when not in the recording studio, and often acted out the roles so Disney animators could study her facial expressions and movements.

Here's a post which should be subtitled Sad But True- girl's Halloween costumes go from cute and innocent to skanky/sexy as they get older, and it's a crying shame.
Maybe it's pressure from their peers, or marketing groups which target women and make them feel like sexy is the only way to go on Halloween, but the truth is you have a choice and a voice so use them!

Okay, I think the title says it all on this one- this is the most amazing Optimus Prime costume ever, and the only thing it's missing is the ability to transform into a truck.
The video is only about twelve seconds long, but that's all you really need to get the point. Either this guy has some serious crafting skills or he has a friend in Hollywood, either way nicely done!

MeltDown is a clever animated short that shows what happens inside your refrigerator when all of your leftover food battles for survival against the frozen forces of Ice.
It was directed by Dave Green, and features the voice of David Cross as a noble ham sandwich, which is (arguably) the best voiceover job he's ever had!
