When people heard that Hurricane Sandy was coming it inspired them to dress up like Sandy from the hit musical Grease.
Was this a way to appeal to the storm, begging for mercy via costume, or were these gals laughing in the face of death via hurricane?
Whatever the reason, Sandy made a big impression on Halloween, oh and the costumes were pretty good too!

There are many recipes out there that call for leftover Halloween candy, but none of them look as crazy colorful, and delicious, as this popcorn candy cake.
It's more like a giant, bowl shaped popcorn ball or marshmallow crispy treat than a cake, but that won't stop your guests from cutting themselves a slice or three and chowing down!

It's good to know that these two beloved holiday icons finally got the chance to meet in person. The Easter Bunny was surprised at how short Santa Claus is in person, and Santa was totally devastated to find out that the Easter Bunny is just a guy in a suit and not a giant, chocolate egg laying rabbit!
He might not be great at abducting innocent victims or flying away before investigators can make it to the scene, but he just might be the cutest UFO you've ever seen.
Bananabals are the most feared fruit in the jungle, for they are quite mad and prefer to eat their own kind.
If it wasn't for the fearless bananabal hunters, who keep the jungle clear of these kooky bananavores, we'd never get our hands on those sweet yellow fruits with the slippery peel. Bananabalism is bad news!
(Cheesy Vampire Impersonation)-He vants to suck your cheese, ah ah ah!
Look into the eyes of the vampire rat and you will forever be under his spell, bringing him cheese at all hours of the night and ridding the neighborhood of stray cats.
He's very charming, in an LED lights for eyes kind of way, and he can be all yours if the price is right! No, really, someone's selling this crazy guy on Etsy, unleashing a vampire rat on the world for some cold hard cash. *shudder*

Mythbuster Adam Savage has quite a bit of experience in the special effects industry, so it follows that any costume he makes is going to be badass.
But instead of choosing something overdone like a Transformer or a gory zombie he chose to create a costume based on the character No-Face from Spirited Away, and it will leave you speechless.

Despite being in violation of Imperial Army protocol the Stormtrooper in this photo seems to be having a great time at a Gay Pride Parade. He's sporting the rainbow stripes for a good reason, which is frowned upon by the Empire but fully endorsed by those on the right side of the Force. Party on super trooper!
Krampus is the original Chrismas baddie, the demon-like character that shows naughty kids the error of their ways with a bit of night terror.
Every year a procession of Krampus' (Krampi?) take to the streets in Austria and Germany as both a nod to the old holiday traditions and a gentle reminder for kids to stay on their best behavior.
Dapper doggies know there's nothing like a pastel colored jacket to accentuate the eyes and make heads turn at the doggie disco.
Smart and sophisticated, this is one doggie who's too busy looking good to chase cats and dig in the yard!
