Can you imagine Jim Carrey's goofy movie character Ace Ventura in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth? he's all kinds of excited about putting his life in danger to save the realm. The fellowship would be better off kicking him to the curb, but I guess they keep Ventura around for laughs, even though he's obviously screwing things up for them.
