Alessandro Tappa is an artist in Vigevano, Italy who designs and builds wonderfully weird bicycles that are just normal enough to serve as functional means of transportation. The above model, which has a name that translates as "bike on the belly", requires a fully prone position to ride.
This bike measuring six meters long (that's almost 20 feet in American) has guide wires reaching to the handlebars.
Tappa's high rise bicycle appears to be tricky to mount and dismount. You pretty much have just one chance to get your balance right before the structure falls over. Tappa has put in the necessary practice.
