The Portable Nuclear Bomb Shelter

In modern life, there's a very real risk of being caught in a nuclear blast. You may be caught unawares while casually walking to work, shopping, or doing chores around your home. This is a reality that we've lived with since August 22, 1949. Fortunately, American inventor Harold C. Tifft prudently responded with a portable protective shield. You can read a copy of his patent here.

The shelter consists of a shell made from steel, titanium, aluminum, and shatter-resistant glass that will provide protection from radiation and debris set in motion by nearby atomic detonations.  There's a convenient carrying case for those users who are foolhardy enough to think that they will have time to unpack and assemble the kit in time. That's definitely an unnecessary risk.

When you anticipate an imminent nuclear detonation, press the open side of the shield against a reinforced surface, such as a wall or road.
