The Exact Amount Of Coffee You Should Drink

After years of research on coffee, experts have found the optimal amount of the delicious caffeinated drink we need to drink for maximum health and brain benefits. Three cups of coffee a day is good enough, according to Harvard-trained psychiatrist, trained nutrition specialist, and trained chef, Dr. Uma Naidoo

Studies that focused on coffee consumption and its effect on the cognitive health of men and women show us that coffee drinkers had less than half the cognitive decline as the non-coffee drinkers did. Participants of these studies that had the least decline healthwise drank at least three cups a day. Now there’s my excuse when my parents tell me I drink too much coffee– I haven’t even passed the minimum recommended amount!

I bought an espresso machine nearly 2 yrs ago. It's programable to make many different types of coffee drinks plus straight shots of espresso. It does it all from grinding the beans to the perfect end products and suddenly it broke! Called the company and the 2 yr warranty was still good so they will fix or replace my old machine. I love it. I found some coffee beans make me jittery or have anxiety attacks but not a certain coffee bean imported from Italy. I wonder why that is? What's the secret?

This is Naidoo's advice and it's an important tip to follow because everybody is different, and each of us may react differently to coffee's effects. If it makes you feel jittery, cut back your consumption or cut it out altogether. The same holds true if you have trouble sleeping. Caffeine can affect your ability to fall asleep, and also whether you reach the deep sleep stage that your body and brain both need to stay healthy.
This is exactly why I cut back, and my goal is to completely cut it out. Despite any positive effects it ever had on me, it does come with plenty of unintended consequences (at least for me). Really messes with my sleep a lot, on several occasions it caused jitters/spasms, and I've noticed it causes a mild case of tinnitus in my ears. I think I have the gene that causes caffeine to break down very slowly in the body. This is reinforced by the fact that I only drink 1 cup per day, and I experience all of this. Some people have the gene that breaks caffeine fast, so if that's you, enjoy it. :)
