We Humans Are Still Evolving

We will probably continue evolving until our species is fully wiped from the Earth. Surprisingly, human evolution hasn’t stopped after Homo sapien became the last hominid to exist. Thanks to our environment constantly changing, along with natural selection, our bodies are trying to adapt to changes- just not in very obvious ways. Inverse writes about the three ways modern humans are evolving. Check the full piece here.

This elolution thing is everywhere. So why should evolution stop just because of this "homo sapiens" thing? As long as you cant see or guess the rules of selection, you will never be able to predict the cours elolution takes. However, in one point the prediction is correct: Evolution will wipe us out this planet.

"Cooler body temperatures than in the past" - Not sure how they can definitely know something like this for sure. If you're say, asian or white or black or whatever, your body comes from a specific soil, a specific environment. So you would see changes in body temperature if said peoples moved to different temperatures. But whos to say you couldn't reverse that by them going back to the original environment? "Frail, lighter bones from sedentary lifestyle" - Again, that could easily be explained by migration, and living in cities rather than rural areas. Also convenience of everything through technology surely plays a role. This could be situational and not actually an evolution. "Rise in lactose intolerance" - For one, its a scientific fact that all humans become lactose intolerant in small percentages over time, even if you weren't when you were young. We didn't actually measure lactose intolerance thousands of years ago like we can now - and even if we did it wouldn't be relevant. We know for a fact people are ingesting 1000x more dairy products now than in the past. Which explains an increase in intolerance across the board. This sounds more like lifestyle and environment rather than evolution. Also keep in mind that, in the age of communication and technology, everything gets reported now. Because it's easy. How many people in the past had lactose intolerance and theres no record of it? How many people who eat small amounts of dairy were included in this evolution study? I duno, I'm not buying it. 40 years of being around people at Walmart, I'm telling you people aren't evolving.
