Tell Your Folks I Says Hi

He's just being nice. Maybe a little too nice. If you're not used to "Midwest nice," it can start to seem a little creepy. And then more creepy. With the proper soundtrack, being welcomed into the neighborhood becomes a full-blown horror story. Charlie Berens wrote and stars in this Midwest Horror Film not coming to a theater near you. Check out the many references to earlier horror classics. -via Digg

This hits home. I cannot tell you how many times I've volunteered to take someone to the airport, and how many people have volunteered to make an airport run for me. Where I live, that means at least a three-hour round trip. And it was just this week that I was "gifted" way more zucchini than I could ever use, so I handed off some to my SIL, more than she could ever use. At the same time, I understand how the gift of privacy is the most valuable thing one can offer to a city dweller.
